Applications for 2018-19 AVID are now available! 2017-18 6th and 7th grade students are encouraged to apply for next school year.

  • Students may apply at the following link: Student Application (S.SFUSD.EDU login required). 
  • Parent/Guardians may complete their section at the following link: Parent/Guardian Application.

AVID ...

  • AVID logois an acronym = Advancement Via Individual Determination.
  • is an in-school academic support program for grades 5-12 that prepares students for college eligibility and success.
  • targets students in the academic middle by placing academically average students in advanced classes.
  • levels the playing field for minority, rural, low-income and other students without a college-going tradition in their families.
