The Special Education Department Office is located in room 210.
Together with the help of Ms. Weickum’s 7th and 8th grade students, Ms. Gebb and Ms. Santee and Special Education staff, have completed the "Autism Tree." The "Autism Tree" has been constructed as part of our school wide Puzzle Piece Project to celebrate diversity and students with autism at our school and in our community. Nationwide, the puzzle piece symbol reflects the mystery and complexity of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Also, since every puzzle piece is different in some way, a puzzle piece accurately represents the diversity of the individuals affected. Students, teachers, and staff at A.P. Giannini were given an individual puzzle piece to design to symbolize how unique they are. Thank you everyone who helped make our school wide Puzzle Piece Project possible. Please stop by to check out the "Autism Tree," which can be found on the wall outside Room 100 in the 6th grade hallway.
